Welcome!

With well over 200 years cumulative experience, the Moonlight Swing Orchestra
consists of an eclectic group of musicians-insrumentalists and vocalists-many with professional experience, and the rest, talented amateurs, who all share the same love of performing this nostalgic music from the Big Bands of the 30's and 40's.

Hear the great sounds of Dorsey, Ellington, Miller, and Shaw, among others.
We also admit to throwing in the occasional popular number from more recent eras.

The band is usually comprised of 17 instrumentalists and one or more vocalists.
You'd be surprised how little room we need, so let us look over your space and show you how we can set up. Check out the photo on the "About Us" page.

We hope you enjoy listening and dancing to this wonderful music
as much as we enjoy playing it for you.

Visit John Groves' site to find where his jazz combo is playing, and get info about booking his group. Also, he  imports and teaches didgeridoos, and has a vast knowledge on the subject. He is available for talks and demonstrations. John was an original trombone member of MSO before moving to Kent. He still performs with us on occasion.
